Below are a selection of frequently asked questions. If you can't find what you are looking for, please feel free to give one of our friendly staff a call.
What areas do you cover?
We are a Buckinghamshire based business and we cover most of the surrounding areas. If you are moving further afield, by all means get in touch as we may be able to accommodate your requirements.
Do you have insurance?
We have insurance to cover all risks of physical loss, destruction or damage to goods in transit. Full details will be provided along with your quotation.
What boxes should I use?
If you choose to carry out your own packing, please make sure to use boxes which are both strong enough and of an appropriate size. We can source suitable packing materials and provide these on a purchase or part-refundable hire basis. Full details will be sent along with your quotation.
If you use our full packing service, all boxes, containers and packing materials will be included in our quotation providing they are made available for our collection within 4 weeks of your moving date. Just give us a call when you have finished with them. Boxes retained longer than this will be subject to charge in accordance with the price list provided at the time of your quote.
How do I pay?
Once you have a confirmed moving date, we do request a 20% deposit to secure the booking. This is non-refundable if you give less than 7 days notice of cancellation. The balance is payable on the day of the move. Payment can be made via online banking, cash or cheque (made payable to 'Prestwood Removals').
How much does it cost?
Cost really is dependant on the volume of your belongings, as well as the distance, special lifting equipment required and access at both properties. We need to ascertain the most suitable vehicles to suit your move along with the size of the team needed for the job. This is why we offer a free no obligation quote to all of our customers where we can also talk you through your options with regard to packing, and how we would carry out your move.
